Yet another way to preserve the harvest. We love the idea of turning all the Fall apples we're seeing into thin, crispy, snackable chips...
This recipe is incredibly easy, with one caveat: It helps if you have a mandoline. Getting the apple slices thin enough to dry out and crisp up in a low oven might be hard with just a knife and a steady hand.
Gourmet's apple chips are sprinkled with cumin, but we think we'd prefer ours sweetened with cinnamon. When we tired of snacking, we'll crumble them over ice cream or add them as a garnish to soup or a cheese plate.
