I'm on the record as loving linen; it's a luxury fabric that is also intensely practical. It is so durable that you can find linen towels and sheets that are 50 years old and still have years of wear left in them; they just get softer and more lovely. So I never consider linen a bad buy — it's nearly always a good investment.
But the one thing about linen is that it's often very neutral, in plain, natural hues. Classic, yes, but what if you need a little more color? Enter: this new collection from Anthro — candy-colored and linen!
I saw these at Anthropologie over the weekend and liked them a lot. They nod to the classic linen flour sack, but reimagined in brighter colors. The apron is long and generously sized, with wide straps. And the price is quite good, too, for a linen piece.
Don't miss the tea towels, too; all in the same colorful stripes and durable linen.
