Looking for a small treat perfect for a party, shower, or just your average Tuesday lunch? Check out this adorable idea: Bake and serve little lavender lemonade cakes right in the rinds of lemons. Folks — it doesn't get any lovelier than this.
Over at A Subtle Revelry, event stylist Victoria Hudgins has been hard at work baking up these tart and tiny lavender lemonade cakes. Each one is served in a hollowed out lemon that has been halved, filled and baked. They're wrapped with twine and accented with a little sprig of the purple lavender.
We love this idea for all sorts of occasions. Your parties and social get-togethers would all benefit from this small idea that's sure to get smiles and oohs and aahs from your guests and friends. They best part is that they can even be served without a plate and eaten directly from the lemon shell if need be (say for a picnic).

What a cool idea!
I've seen this done with oranges where you just cut a small hole in top and scoop out the flesh with a melon baller or grapefruit spoon and fill. I think that presentation could be prettier but this seems so much easier to eat!
looks perfect for a small party/wedding
adorable
It also works with oranges in a campfire!
Just make sure you wrap the oranges up in aluminum foil first!
