It's no lie that the good old lazy Susan has made many a weeknight family dinner table an easier place to manage. But the tabletop accessory has never really been known for its style. Not so with these five modern versions, however:
- Sarah Peyton Tempered Glass Lazy Susan at Overstock, $30
- Shanxi Black Lazy Susan at Serve Granite, $95
- French Bull Ring Lazy Susan at All Modern, $28
- J K Adams Company Charcoal Slate Lazy Susan at Bellacor, $56
- Lazy Susan by Philippi at Vision2Form

TW Salt Mill by Wil...

Growing up, lazy susans' were for the pantry/cupboards - specifically, for spices and hard to reach spots. I've seen them used on tables in some Asian restaurants and movies, but never actually used them on the table, but it's a great idea. Something new for the wish list!
I love this post. I create lazy susans out of mosaics on etsy that are modern. Check them out!

I'm pretty anti- countertop clutter, but I use a lazy susan stashed in the corner to hold the oils, salts and spices I use for cooking every day. Everything else is put away in cabinets. I LOVE mine (plain, very dark green marble, can't remember where I got it... maybe Cost Plus?).
C'mon people, quit using the perjorative term "lazy susan". It's a "busy susan". Think about it, who's busting their ball bearings for you!
I have the first one and I use mine as a cake stand. My guests have commented how neat it is and that they've never seen a cake stand that swivels.
Lazy susans are pretty essential for the dining room table of Chinese families. I have fond memories of huge dinners enjoyed on he lazy Susan!
Since the link to the granite lazy susan is broken, may I humbly suggest our Absolute Black as a possible replacement: http://marble-lazy-susan.com/absolute-black-p-13.html
