We're not talking about food testing here, but rather a laboratory aesthetic. Kitchens can incorporate the look in a number of ways:
With elements like lab glass, stainless steel work surfaces, lab-like plumbing fixtures, metal stools and precision lighting, a kitchen can take on the look of a lab quite readily. These kitchens display just a few ways of executing laboratory details in the home. We are particularly taken with the glass-front cabinets in the Frank Tack kitchen pictured first.

this would be my hubby's dream kitchen! (and my nightmare, as I'd be tasked with keeping it clean!)
Love MANY things about the first image, but can anyone tell me more about it, especially the vent hood? Does anyone know what that style is called? I've been desperately trying to find a way to build something similar.
Very cool!
