Knives and Whisks: Two Great Uses for Roll-Out Cabinets

We aren't in the middle of a kitchen renovation, sadly, or else we'd be stealing this idea. We love it: make use of a narrow, otherwise challenging space in your kitchen with a roll-out cabinet and built-in knife block. Another great roll-out cabinet below. While the top photo shows a great way to keep your knives organized and out of the way — not to mention stored very efficiently — this second photo shows how a roll-out cabinet can be used to organize even more tall and skinny things: whisks, spoons, and oil bottles.

Now, neither of these ideas would be ideal, perhaps, if you have small children underfoot in your kitchen, but in an adults-only household we like the idea of having knives in a place where you can reach down and grab them. We also like making use of narrow, tall spaces to store tall and skinny items. It's an efficient use of space.
