Every January I go to the Winter Fancy Food Show in my hometown of San Francisco, but this year I attended the even bigger International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago for the first time!
It's an impressive, slightly overwhelming experience to navigate enormous halls filled with kitchen and housewares, but it's fun to see the newest and shiniest goods that brands have to offer. Stopping at the KitchenAid booth is a must, especially to see the newest color(s) for the stand mixers.
Unlike the three new colors they unveiled last year, there was only one new stand mixer color this year: Champagne Gold, which will be available in June. This new, more muted color has a hint of sparkle, great for those going for a more classic look for their countertop appliances.
Besides the new color, KitchenAid's wall of stand mixers with attachments also caught my eye. While there have always been the pasta, meat grinding, and ice cream attachments, there were a lot of new-t0-me attachments on display too:
- Juicer and Sauce
- Food Processor
- Grain Mill
- Heated Mixing Bowl
Do you like the new color? Do you think you would have use for some of the new attachments? Looks like KitchenAid is trying to make the stand mixer the only small appliance you'll ever need!
