Do you love hot pink in the kitchen? Then the new KitchenAid stand mixer color, Raspberry Ice, is definitely for you. Read on to see more of it, and to see the other hot new color that honestly, I like even better.
These photos were all taken at the International Home & Housewares Show this week, and it's hard to get a sense for just how this color looks (those harsh convention lights!). This color is hot, hot pink. It has a touch of glittery metallic finish, too, so it really gleams in the light.
This color, Raspberry Ice, is part of KitchenAid's Cook for the Cure collection which also includes a pale pink color for some of their small appliances. They are gauging interest in the Raspberry Ice colorway, and they may expand it to more pieces like the toaster, the kettle, and the hand blender.
That wasn't the only new color for them, though. They also have the electric blue that you see next to the Raspberry Ice mixer, as well as a deep, chocolatey brown that I loved.
This brown mixer (again, seen above in the slideshow) is sophisticated and dark. It has a quiet, self-assured gleam. It would look pretty great in a white kitchen with wood countertops or rustic fixtures.
What do you think? Is Raspberry Ice or electric blue your color of choice? Or do you lean more towards the espresso brown?

Monterey Pitcher fr...

I don't care about color, I would just love to own one.
OMG, I so want that pink mixer! Maybe someday... ;)
Not so sure about the perlescent pink, but that glass bowl...that would be great!
I LOVE the brown! That's gorgeous! Hot pink and electric blue aren't really up my alley.
love those sparkles!
I love the pink but think I would think gross after a month or so...but the blue is pretty or orange which would look nicer in my kitchen and this year I'm getting one (I'm still jealous that my parents bought my sister one of these and then gave her the bread machine too all I got was some cheapo whisks!)
Oh wait they just bought me a new sewing machine ok I forgive them
I could love the blue one. Sorry, but the pink one looks like a silicon sex toy. Eek.
I wish they'd bring back the Martha Stewart Green mixer. I have the pistachio, which is a nice pastel green, but it's not quite that perfect shade of jadeite that I love.
@bridablaze - best comment I have seen all week!
I like the color I have - Caviar. It is jet black but with some sparkle to it. Subtle and sexy.
I would DIE for that espresso brown one.
I'm with you on that rich brown color, although I am also partial to the bright orange. My rental kitchen doesn't have a lot of color so until I get my curtains up, I am dreaming of bright appliances. I have a white Kitchenaid now, and while it's not that exciting to look at I can't fault it one bit.
I do really like the glass bowl shown on some models, though. I'd rather have that than the metal one.
agree with @eatlovedrink -- where do i get the glass bowl?
Looks like nail polish. I like the Breast Cancer Awareness pink they had. I have an apple green one that I LOVE!
The glass bowl is available on Amazon.
When do the new colors go on sale?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pink one.
I broke the glass bowl from my grandmother's KitchenAid from the '60s many years ago, and I've been longing to replace it--so here's another vote for the glass bowl, regardless of mixer color, and off I go to Amazon. (Thanks, wobble.)
(Or maybe I wait for Christmas. It's almost $60.)
i'm with mlflamingo on the Caviar color. it goes well with my kitchen (retro diner style, black/red/silver). i'd happily rock that pink, though.
I hate that pink. Hate it. Really anything that looks like it should be owned by a 13 year old girl is a thumbs down in my book.
The brown could definitely work for some, its unconventional but interesting! I like the teal. Personally I have a pale buttery yellow color (can't remember the name) and I love it to death.
I actually really love my stainless bowl and wouldn't want a glass one. It's light, thin, cleans so well and dries in a flash.
Glass bowl on Wish List...spending $60 on something I don't need at all seems a little indulgent. But I'm glad to know it's out there! Now to find a way to accidentally destroy my stainless bowl...
Any idea when I can get my grubby little paws on the raspberry ice toaster?!
My heart literally stopped when I saw all the KitchenAid on display!
Yes, finally! Although, this would match nothing in my kitchen except my hair. ;)
I'll take one in any color! Though I'm partial to the blueish-green one (next to the brown in photo #5), it's very retro, 1950's kitchen and who cares if it doesn't match? That's even better!
I have my pink artisan one and it never gets old. I love it so much.
Now I just have to convince the husband that we ALSO need the raspberry ice one. Any idea when they are going on sale?
When will we be able to purchase one of these beauties in the new colors? In LOVE with the espresso brown color!
We do also have to remember about flames, though--they go with any color. I've flamed my navy blue artisan model.
Don't love the blue or pink pictured, but I think in the pic of all the mixers I can barely see the Ice Blue one I want. The cornflower blue is so pretty too, but doesn't mesh with my colors. I really need to just make the purchase already since I bake all the time. Stores never have the color I want, have people had good experiences with them being delivered undamaged?
The colors are nice, sure, but why limit the choice to colors on the despised tilt head mixers?
I like the new color, but I doubt my husband would love having hot pink anywhere near our kitchen!
Well, andypucko, that raises an interesting question. Why is the tilt head despised? My husband and I were just discussing the other night what the difference was, and why the larger KitchenAid doesn't have a tilt head. Neither of us knew.
Okay, I suppose I should do something else with my day besides commenting on this post, but I just found a comment in an old Kitchn post:
The lift bowl is so that you can place a bowl of hot or ice water below the mixing bowl.
Ugh. I know it's the "color of the year" but, ugh.
Can I trade my white one in for the electric blue one? Awesome!!
LOVE the pink!!! My mom always said she'd get me a Kitchen Aid for a wedding present... guess I better find someone to get engaged to!
@heynowtex - we got mine from Amazon with no issues.
Loving the blue, but the BLACK, the black looks like it should have a Harley-Davidson logo on it.
nah, not enough chrome on it to justify that.
I have a Kitchenaid that is almost that shade of pink, but not pearlescent. I bought it online and the color was described as "cranberry," but it's definitely hot pink. As a rule, I'm not generally into pink, but I love my Kitchenaid and get lots of compliments on it.
The new range is coming out in the UK in May, with the glass bowl, raspberry ice, electric blue, apple cider (a brown) and cafe latte (a cream), candy apple is being replaced so it also has a glass bowl. There may be the odd retailer in the UK with a candy apple steel bowl left but not many.
Check out the new Kitchenaid Food Mixer colours.
I'm betting the cafe latte will be a hit! Not so sure about the electric blue.
I already have the mixer in cornflower blue, but man I love that pink "raspberry ice". How stupid would it be to have 2 Kitchenaid mixers... please say "not very"
When and where can I get those other pieces in raspberry ice? I MUST HAVE!
I just got the raspberry ice mixer as a gift yesterday & it's even more gorgeous in person! It's a little darker than the ones pictured above (perhaps brightened by the camera flash?). It matches my fuchsia/bright chartreuse/yellow color scheme perfectly! Can't wait to use it!!!!

I have a white one and it is amazing however they do not like doing heavy doughs; cookie doughs, they need a bigger motor for that kind of stuff. Hope you get one soon.
