This tour is much more about the kitchen than the cooking that goes on within. It's actually secondary to the main kitchen downstairs — a place to cook and hang out on a beautiful day alone or with others.
The main kitchen is rather small, claustrophobic and lacking in light for the scale and extravagance of this over-the-top four floor home in the East Village. To compensate, this rooftop kitchen is open, inviting and provides the opportunity for food preparation by a large group.
The limited type and color of the materials provide a warm and neutral palette to enhance with living and edible accessories. Surrounded by open rooftop space on either side, this kitchen is a dream to behold.
