Sharon, her husband and their toddler live in what was once a high-glam 80's solid black bachelor pad. They recently spent nine months transforming it into a light-filled retreat for daily living.

The kitchen is state of the art, but gentle and soft in its coloring and choice of materials. Every aspect of the space contributes aesthetically to the overall feel of casual luxury.
Sharon has inherited a number of gorgeous silver trays from her relatives in Israel and continues to search far and wide for other trays to add to her collection. When she and her husband embarked on gutting, designing and renovating their loft space, Sharon knew that she wanted the kitchen to serve as a clean backdrop for her tarnished (she prefers it that way) silver collections.
The result is ease of access to everything, storage everywhere and solidly reliable materials that don't take away from the lightness of the space. One can't help but wish to spend time there creating all sorts of yumminess and/or nourishment.

LOVE this kitchen...it is SO beautiful! Even a grilled cheese would taste better coming out of this kitchen:) I also have the Nespresso Citiz...I could not live with out it!!! I have to laugh at my friends who still head to Starbucks every day!
Beautiful, love all the shiny. The before pictures are frightening, nice remodel. Where did you get that sink protector? I need one.
Love the Citiz in 60's white...
this is my fantasy kitchen. PERFECT and I am bookmarking it to give to an architect this year! We have a narrow galley kitchen and want to knock down the wall between kitchen and DR. I just could not visualize how it would look and now I have that visual!
Our DR is super old fashioned so i am struggling to imagine if it is possible to have a semi-open plan set-up with a modern kitchen like this that abuts onto a more traditional 100-yr-old dining room. I have to think it is possible with some minor changes to the DR furnishings...
Anyway, bravo to you for a superb, timeless, inspiring kitchen reno!!!
Does anyone know who those large silver lamps are by? they look fantastic.
I am sooooooo jealous!!!
Beautiful, perfect. just as much real working space as most other kitchens twice its size. The lines, all that continuous marble, the pure efficiency (and style!) of that island...I could go on and on! Just really, really nicely done.
Beautiful project! You should be very proud. The details are amazing. The marble edge detail looks to be 2"+ where you can tell that the slab is actually thinner at the undermount sink. Great marble fabricator! Great miter! What species/ finish are the floors?
This kitchen is amazing. I would love to know who the pendants are by. Also the use of the microwave drawer is a great space saver. Love it.
