Dana and Steve are the masterminds behind this colorful and sunny space in Atlanta Georgia. Earlier this week we were privileged enough to take a full tour over at Apartment Therapy, but we wanted to focus in a minute on why their kitchen specifically is just so irresistibly quaint. Many times when you see homeowners go crazy with color things get a little, well, obnoxious. It's not that they weren't used correctly, it's just that there often isn't enough light in the space to pull the look off.
In this home, there's more than enough light and their space is just large enough to get things done and just small enough to not feel overwhelming. They appear to be perfectly normal with cereal proudly on display and traditional cabinets being installed. So many spaces suffer from trying to do too much and in this home, it's done just right.
There's color, there's light, it's warm and inviting and don't forget to take a peek at the adjacent dining room as it will make you squeal with delight. It's a great example of choosing your colors without buying every blue item you see once you make that decision. The beauty is in the editing and simplicity and we love it!
