It's time to feature one of our favorite house tours ever - a carefully renovated London Victorian. This home is so beautiful! But we also admire the owner's taste. She says, "The kitchen is the focus of the home." We couldn't agree more! Click through to read more about how they updated this vintage kitchen on a budget.
Mirka, the owner, painted the pine units in the kitchen and used a mix of liming and natural wax to give them a sheen.
We love her enormous table. She says in the original tour that "The multifunctional table is a massive old Indian piece which can be used as a dining table, a place to study, for reading or having a cup of coffee with your neighbor. The pine bench is my design upholstered with a cow skin with white and beige giraffe pattern (very very comfy!)." The room has French doors that lead to a lovely calm English garden."
Here's a closer look at the very ornate and beautiful table.
You can see their vintage-style refrigerator in the background, plus another look at the lovely wallpaper.
From the original tour: Mirka added Corallo wallpaper in a light beige-grey with black, silver, gold and red branches to complement the blond wood of the kitchen and highlighted the original ceiling cornices with LED wire that demonstrate her flair for combining old and new.
