• This Week: Restock Kitchen with Ingredients & Tools
• Time Left: You're over halfway there! Less than 2 weeks!
• Cure Takers: 2,541
Hello Cure-takers! How was your weekend? Did you get a chance to work on the third Kitchen Cure assignment, even amidst Halloween festivities? Did you restock? Reorganize? How's your kitchen feeling?
So, to recap: By now you should have tackled your sticky cupboard shelves and scary refrigerator drawers. They should be cleaned-out and scrubbed. (Fresh and clean!) Hopefully you've also had time to do some good deep cleaning along the way, too — wash the floors, and windows too (if you're so lucky to have a window!).
You've also pitched or donated appliances that you don't use, or that clutter your shelves. It should be easy, not a chore, to open your kitchen cupboards and retrieve tools and dishes.
Now that you've done all this, you may find that you've thrown away some expired spices you need for Thanksgiving dinner. Or you want to reward yourself with that Dutch oven you've been saving up for all year. Now is the time! Restock, and also reorganize what's left of your supplies into a better configuration.
• Kitchen Cure Week 3: Restock Pantry & Tools
And if you're ahead of all of this (congrats if you are!) then time to think of a special project. A shelf? A new light fixture? Is there some small improvement you have been meaning to make to the kitchen? Then take this week and do it!
We are LOVING your photos on the Kitchen Cure Flickr Pool! It's so great to see how you are documenting your Kitchen Cure. Keep 'em coming!

those plates are beautiful! Where can one buy them??
@bearcub. Thanks. The plates are old Heath Ceramics from the 60's. Look around ebay, etsy and replacements ltd. (all on the web). For new Heath pieces go to www.heathceramics.com
We had dinner tonight using serving bowls and matching plates for the first time ever. I didn't even mind washing the dishes!
I recently got new storage cages installed in my parking garage area. Since I was "ahead of the Kitchn Cure game" I took time I'd normally spend on this project to tend to my overall home and moved boxes and extra dining chairs to storage.
Tomorrow night will be a Kitchn Cure project in the form of mounting my magnetic knive racks that moved with me to my new home almost 2 years ago but never got mounted.
All of the interiors of my cabinets, fridge, oven, and freezer are clean, but I still need to do a deep clean of the kitchen surfaces.
A new, rimmed baking sheet has been ordered. I also bought and used some oyster sauce for an Asian eggplant recipe which turned out well.
I'm now remembering that I need to purchase some pumpkin pie spice for a few recipes. So far, so good!
