If you want a light, airy-feeling kitchen, there are other options besides going all white. Despite the continued reign of all-white kitchens at the moment, the right color can give the same weightless and wide-open effect. Take this pale blue kitchen, for example!

Imagine for a moment if these cupboards were white; the overall effect would be much crisper and cleaner. (Not in a bad way, just different!) But by using a pale blue, the kitchen is slightly softened, but without losing any light-reflective qualities. I think it's a lovely alternative, particularly with the grey-green backsplash. What do you think?
