Kitchen and Living Room Combos

Small homes can sometimes mean no separate kitchen but one adjacent to the main living space. That, however, doesn't mean the kitchen can't be a really wonderful space, whether it's designed to be integrated with the adjacent living room or up to be distinct from it. Here are some examples of some perfectly beautiful kitchens in living rooms:

  • A bookcase half-wall creates a partial division between this open kitchen and living room from Dwell magazine.
  • Notice the counter-height console in the living room that coordinates with the nearby kitchen cabinetry.
  • This living room featured in Southern Living backs right up to a galley kitchen. Bar stools at an island serve to divide the two spaces.
