There's a hierarchy when it comes to outdoor cooking. At one end you have toasting marshmallows on a stick you found in the woods, and at the other end you have Kanz kitchens, stoves and pantries. They're as functional as they are pretty and they win the bear resistent seal of approval — no really, that's a thing! There's a cool green seal and everything!
Although you are perfectly able to camp outside without using a full out kitchen, it really makes life easier when you have one. These great pieces from Kanz are aimed to make your wilderness (or even tailgating) experience smooth and a little less like you're roughing it.
Each kitchen or pantry comes in marine-quality aluminum that make it rugged and light, which in turn makes them practical and easy to carry. You can buy just the shell and outfit things yourself or pick one up with a stove (either propane or duel fuel) already in it.
There's also a pantry that's bear proof and sure to make your goodies off limits and will help keep them out of your camp. In addition there's all sorts of accessories like cutting boards and work tables that can be added. They make camping look even more appealing, now if only they could get rid of the mosquitoes!

TW Salt Mill by Wil...

The Boy Scouts have been building/using these for decades... I think the one with my initials inside of it is still in use in my old troop today.
While the ones we used were NO WHERE near as beautiful as the one pictured here, if you had a mind to DIY your own a quick google of "Patrol Box" or "Patrol Box Plans" would get you there in a hurry :)
Prepare to be amazed at the ingenuity of necessity (aka laziness) from kids (and their parents) when camping!
bdsimmons2, that was my fist reaction, too! It's a souped-up patrol box. I would DIY one of these YEARS before I would drop $600 on a manufactured one.
I think I'm with everyone else. I first thought it was cool, but at that price I could pay someone to follow me on my weekend, cook, and haul.
