Oh I didn't know they call salak 'snakeskin fruit' here :D

Oh I miss 'em. I found some at Fubonn nearby where I live (in a plastic package at freezer section), but you can't beat eating the fresh one, the one you got to peel when you want to eat...

Round these parts (Vancouver, BC), we have an great little local chain of hot dog carts (and one restaurant) called Japadog. Incredible hot dogs with Japanese flavours. Okonomyaki Hot Dog - oh yes. http://www.japadog.com
