The Eastern Columbia building in downtown LA is one of the most well known buildings, and rightfully so. It's filled with great architectural details, but it also lends itself well to modern upgrades. We love so much about this apartment, but we especially love the simple and streamlined modern kitchen.

We can appreciate small kitchens, we too live in an urban area and realize that we can't all be blessed with a huge kitchen. We love that even though the kitchen only occupies one wall they were still able to fit all of the modern amenities that we all have grown to need (dishwasher, microwave, etc).

Jan and Jerry were able to squeeze in plenty of cabinetry in such a small space, which is a huge plus and leaves plenty of room for their beautiful dining set. In another attempt to save space and keep things interesting, they kept their super stylish flatware on display on the counter.

The warm wood works really well with the stainless steel appliances and the light concrete floors.
