Every home has a personality and it's interesting to come across the extremely fun and quirky as well as the subdued and relaxed. It's interesting to come across homes that are able to mix all of the above in a concise and well understood way. That's the goal Jaclyn and Brian were able to reach.
Before the final papers hit the desk, Jaclyn and Brian were at their newly purchased home in full demolition mode. They knew they had a lot of work ahead of them, so why not start with the kitchen and start quickly! Right off the bat they knew they needed and wanted a lot of storage, and as you can see, they certainly got it. There are cabinets in every place they could be, but the space doesn't look overly cramped.
We really really love the color palette. The dark, rich cabinets with the pale sea-green tiny tile is a winning combination. There's nothing we don't love about mixing colors and textures. Exposed brick is always a plus, especially when it's painted white!
The bar is a great addition to the space. They don't have room for a table, so the bar functions as extra counter space as well as their eating area. It's a great idea for small space dwellers!
