Welcome to April at The Kitchn, where we're returning to one of our favorite themes: 3 Square Meals (and dessert, too, of course!). We are spending a week on each major meal of the day, and leaving you with a snack or two for the weekend. And what's up this first week? Why breakfast, of course! It's a week of omelets, pancakes, oatmeal and more! What would you like to talk about this week?
We're dwelling on the first and most important meal of the day this week — it really is our favorite meal.
What would you like to see us talk about? Any pressing breakfast topics? We'd love to share any questions you have on brunch or breakfast, so any breakfast-related Good Question submissions will get pushed to the top of the queue.

I'd love to get some new breakfast on the go ideas. I leave for school at 6:30a at the latest and my students arrive at 7:40 so sometime between my drive in and when I arrive is typically when I eat. I'd love some ideas of stuff to make a head of time and eat (either cold or reheated) because it's towards the end of the school year and my breakfast rotations are BORING!
I am excited to get more new exciting healthy breakfast ideas. I would love to see more fresh, juicy and indulgence meal first thing in the morning everyday :)
shelf81 read my mind. i leave early, i need something quick and delicious (preferably warm), and i'm dying for new things!
I'd love to see some international breakfast ideas... one of my favorite things about travelling is tastetesting breakfasts from new places. It can be really fun seeing how differently people in other countries start their day!
Something low-calorie, healthy, and make-ahead to eat at work.
I second the international breakfast suggestion. It would be great to see what other people around the world traditionally eat for breakfast!
Does someone have an absolute favourite pancake recipe? 7 months pregnant and CRAVING pancakes :)
Maybe a breakfast casserole or coffeecake that can be made the night before and popped in the oven first thing in the morning so that it's ready to eat as soon as we are ready.
Breakfast is my favorite. I'd love lots of waffle recipes.
Savory oatmeal ideas would be great!
I devised a recipe for homemade Lara bars, and they make a GREAT supplement to the hurried morning! I recently made a batch with dates, raisins, peanuts, and ginger!
I eat breakfast out of obligation (I know it's good for me), so I'm always looking for new ideas. Prefer savory. Any ideas for a hot breakfast that could be cooked overnight in a crockpot? Thanks.
Savory, everyday breakfasts (i.e. not weekend-fancy or time consuming!) please!
I second the breakfasts on the go request. I usually head out the door with a rather tasteless, pre-packaged bar of some sort because I don't have time to cook in the morning. Help, please :)
I'd love to see some 10 minute every day breakfasts (other than toast, cereal, and oatmeal)!
Breakfast is easily my favorite meal of the day! I would love to see recipes of breakfasts that can be made on a Sunday and easily grabbed for days to follow. Portable, healthy, and substantial enough breakfasts are what I pine for.
Oh, and I always LOVE idea for brunch dishes that will impress my friends on the weekend!
@Kristen Leah- Alton Brown's Instant Pancakes are by far my favorite. I make a big batch of the instant mix and make pancakes every weekend. I add vanilla to the mix, lemon zest, nutmeg, pumpkin- basically anything that I may be in the mood for and they always turn out fantastic.

I'd like more whole grain, low fat breakfast ideas. I recently made a great baked oatmeal with blueberries, and I felt very virtuous. It's not a bad feeling to start the day with!
For those looking for delicious, make-ahead and reheat breakfast ideas, I have one word: Strata.
