As a part of our Braising Week, we're giving away five sunny yellow Calphalon Enamel Cast Iron Round Dutch Ovens, perfect for braising and no-knead bread, and five copies of Braise: A Journey Through International Cuisine by Daniel Boulud and Melissa Clark.
Read on for the rules...
To enter, join us in making a braise. This has to be a new project - not something you cooked and photographed previously. We want you all braising this weekend!
Then send us these things:
• Three digital photos: your ingredients, you making the braise, and the finished braise.
• Also share the recipe or a link to it. If it's original, tell us.
• And of course, tell us how long you spent cooking your braise.
To enter, email your pictures and links or recipes to kitchen(at)apartmenttherapy(dot)com with the subject "BRAISING CONTEST."
Entries are due by next Monday, March 26. We'll pick the best five entries and post them next week. One entry per person, please.

I loved oven baked meals! As a tip now that spring and summer is on its way,for those that do alot of oven baked meals during the warm weather so that you dont get overheated in the kitchen install a kitchen ceiling fan! I have mine going all summer long while iam cooking up meals and it also helps fill the whole house with the aroma of tasty meals you have cooked up! Makes a cooking experiance so much more pleasurable!

Do Crock Pot recipes count? I've never owned a dutch oven, but I do lots of stuff in my Crock Pot. I think the concept is basically the same--cooking in a tiny bit of liquid using sustained heat for an extended time period.
I'd love to participate, so please let me know. If Crock Pots are off limits, I'll just wait to get some great new recipes from the other participants.
Thank you!

If that's what you're doing, then it counts!
Good luck!
What if you give me the Calphalon Enamel Cast Iron Round Dutch Oven first, and then I promise to braise in it? No? Harumpf.
