Some of our favorite place cards for the Thanksgiving table are so simple that they require just one tool. Can you guess what that tool is?
A gold paint pen! The gold ink is opaque and will write on almost anything. Simply select a seasonal object or something that's going on the table anyway and go to town writing everyone's names in your neatest hand. A few ideas (as pictured up top):
- leaves
- burlap napkins
- mini pumpkins, or fruits like pears or tangerines
- napkin rings

Straw Mat from The ...

I wish I ever had an occasion (or the kind of friends) where place cards would be appropriate. Right now my friends would look at me like I'm nuts. I miss my Great Aunt's big dinners and finding out where she sat me and wondering why (probably to keep me as far from the most breakable serving piece possible).
haha mimee! That's cute. I remember making place cards at my grandma's. Maybe I was born to entertain?
