Question: what has the power to singlehandedly transform the look of your kitchen? Answer: Dramatic wallpaper, particularly if it's gorgeous and colorful botanical wallpaper by Josef Frank. More photos below:

Josef Frank— an Austrian-born architect, artist, and designer who fled to Sweden at the age of 50 to escape Nazism— is considered one of Sweden's most important designers. According to Svenskt Tenn, the eminent Swedish design institution for whom Frank started working in 1934, Frank "represented a freer, more artistic style ideal, and he developed his own type of modernism with values such as comfort, hominess and a wealth of colour in focus... He wanted to include nature's colours and forms in interior design and to be able to breathe and feel free even in enclosed rooms."

What do you think of this look? Do you have wallpaper in your kitchen?
P.S. If you absolutely adore this apartment, then brace yourself: it's currently for sale in Sweden.
Josef Frank wallpaper can be purchased from Svenkst Tenn and Just Scandinavian. For more about Josef Frank and his designs, check out these posts:

It's the green chairs that I love!
While I have no problem with wallpaper in the kitchen in general, the photos above are WAY to much for me. That pattern is just so dominating it's making my eyeballs hurt!
i think it's lovely, but i've been living in denmark for a year - maybe i'm biased in favor of scandinavian design?
I've loved it every time it's been featured on AT. I'd consider doing a small chunk of it, like behind some shelving.
