The artfully illustrated coffee cups on the right are from Brew Nerds, a coffee shop in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. We think they're funny. If you've got some paper cups in the house, you could doodle one for a family member. Maybe a creative way to wake up Dad on Father's Day?
Yes, paper cups are less environmentally friendly than mugs. We're not suggesting you doodle a new one every day of the week. But, hey, you could do this instead of buying (and subsequently tossing) a paper card!
We actually love the simplicity of the Brew Nerds' doodles- like ballpoint pen drawings you might do on a cocktail napkin in a bar. Although you could certainly break out the crayons and let the kids go wild.

I've also seen on the web coffee mugs that are painted with chalkboard paint. You can buy them and they come with a stick of chalk to write notes on them. Excellent idea.
