There's a first time for everything, and for me it's hosting Thanksgiving. This year. In two weeks from today. My parents are flying out, my sisters and their families coming up, all to sit down to a dinner in our apartment. I may know a lot about Thanksgiving (having experienced it every year for the last, oh, 31 years) but hosting changes the game. So tell me: what do I need to know?
What advice can you offer to a first-time host? What tips and tricks do you have for meal planning, table setting, or the day-of schedule? What was your experience hosting Thanksgiving the first time? Anything you wish you'd done differently? Anything you wish you'd known?
