Q: Thanks to a late work shift, I will be driving 250 miles the night before Thanksgiving to get to my uncle's. I won't be able to cook anything at his place, so I was hoping you might have suggestions for dishes I can make in advance that can withstand the long travel. Or I can just bring a bottle of wine...

Editor: Wine is always welcome at my table, but I bet we can come up with a few creative ideas for you, too! What about dinner rolls? They would keep fairly well in a cool car for several hours and could be quickly re-heated just before serving.
Readers, what other ideas do you have?
