Q: I'm planning a ten day road trip and am wondering what people recommend for snacks of the non-processed, non-artery clogging variety. We will have a cooler, and I'd like to have fresh things as an option for mindless snacking. Thanks!

For road trips, I also love homemade snack bars, granola, and bags of roasted chickpeas. You could also pick up some nice baguettes or loaves of bread and keep cheese and veggies in your cooler for quick sandwiches.
