Iced Tea with a Tropical Twist: Add Mango!

Pin it button big

During summer, we can guarantee that we always have a pitcher of cold iced tea in the fridge, ready for afternoon sipping and impromptu visits from friends. But when it comes to the kind of iced tea, we like to mix things up from week to week. Along with all these other fresh takes on iced tea, we're eyeing a recipe for colorful, sweet mango iced tea.

This idea comes from Dassana at Veg Recipes of India, who blends cooled black tea with fresh mango puree. The combination looks so pretty and refreshing! Dassana uses Alphonso mangoes, an Indian variety that's particularly flavorful. If you can't get your hands on those, any ripe, sweet mango should be delicious.

You could garnish with mint, as suggested, and perhaps even add some fresh ginger and lime. Sugar alternatives like honey could also be used.
