Cooking! Apple cake, vegetable soup, turkey chili, quinoa! And hoarding water, doing laundry and dishes, and shampooing! !!!!!
We're survivalist junkies so we saved glass juice bottles, washed them out for water. We also packed "kitty suitcases" with stuff our pers need in case we had to evacuate - we are not abandoning our pets. We stocked comfort food (cheddar popcorn!), ice and coolers so we could eat fridge food for a while after the power went out, and bought fake candles so no fire hazard. We also set up a feral cat igloo on our porch for strays during the storm.
Pets, not "pers".
We are doing a ton of laundry too! And drinking coffee. Candles, matches, water, flashlights, and ponchos ready just in case.
