Q: How do you freeze squash to fry it later?

Editor: If you are freezing tender summer squash, we recommend blanching it in unsalted, boiling water first. Blanching inactivates the enzymes that cause squash to turn to mush during the freezing process so some of the firm texture remains.
For hard winter squash, you can just freeze it cut up and raw, or you can also freeze completely cooked squash. Just steam, boil, or roast it first!
Readers, any tips on freezing both summer or winter squash?
