Are you a fan of gummy bears? You can count me in, but the idea of making my own is even more intriguing. These are a sweet treat with a slightly fiery kick that will help wake up your tastebuds!
This recipe from The Nature of Grace is a simple one and great to whip up on rainy summer afternoons. It's quite simple and is gelatin based with diced chipotle peppers added in. Although some might be adverse to using a flavored gelatin, you could just as easily mix in a bit of freshly squeezed fruit juice instead of water and make your own.
Even if you don't have plans of making bears in the end, they would be just as fun diced in cubes to adorn your 4th of July picnic table. Add herbs from the garden, or different flavors if you're not a peach fan. It's a great versatile recipe that's wonderful as is for those who have never worked with gelatin before.

Bacsac Bacsquare 04...

who knew?! I never even dreamed I could make my own gummi candies. Mind-blowing day here...
So fascinating! But if I bring these outdoors, would it melt into a puddle like regular jell-o?
delassonrisas, they shouldn't. There's so much more gelatin/less water that they should hold up fine at room temp/ in heat.
