We do a lot more dishes around the holidays, what with all the extra cooking and baking and entertaining going on. The premium dish soap companies have caught on and have started offering limited-edition holiday scented dish soaps so that we can carry on with our holly-jolly even while we're standing at the sink, up to our elbows in batter bowls and cookie sheets. Do you switch to holiday scented cleaning products come December?
I confess that I look forward to the holiday release of Mrs. Meyer's Iowa Pine. I love how they've managed to capture a clean pine scent that somehow isn't like Pine-Sol. Apparently I'm not alone, for I just checked the Mrs. Meyer's website and Iowa Pine, as well as their other holiday scent Orange Clove, have sold out of their special cleaning sets and candles (although you can still buy the items separately).
I like having a special dish soap for Christmas. For me scent is very evocative, so the minute I smell Iowa Pine, I just start feeling in the holiday spirit. Do you switch to a holiday scent? Do you have a favorite to recommend?

I LOVE Mrs. Meyers' products and use them year-round! It is a great company that cares about the environment and people!
I recently ordered the Orange Clove and Iowa Pine scents in hand soap, dish soap and counter-top spray - so obviously I DO switch to holiday scents! It is just one part of doing everything "holiday"!
I don't switch, but I like this idea as I'm a pretty fragrance conscious type of gal- specific scents always seem to set off specific memories. Plus the idea of a little holiday in your kitchen sink, WHY NOT?
I use Thymes Limited Frasier Fir products in my kitchen year round -- dish soap, spray cleaner, liquid hand soap.
I love natural-smelling, herbal fragrances. Thymes scents are particularly good.
Mrs. Meyers gets all the hype, but Thymes rules!
I switch cleaning spray (never dish soap) during the holidays to the Mrs. Meyer's Iowa Pine. I have a pretty small apartment, though, so the bottle I bought three years ago is still going strong; I don't know that I'll buy another when I finally finish it.
Yes to pine scented everything.
Dr. Bronner's SAL SUDS dish liquid is pine scented and available all year round, which is what I already use.
Thanks for the suggestions, everyone!
Thymes Fraiser Fir 11.50 (nice container!)
Dr Bronner's Sal Suds $8.99
Wait, Dr Bronner makes a dishwashing liquid? I had no idea.
Nah. I don't switch. I love Dawn with bleach alternative. It's powerful, kind of clear looking. I fill a clear squeeze bottle with it so it looks clean on my white porcelain sink top.
Winter Berry and Frosted Fir sound like they might be nice. Though I can't see spending ten bucks on a bottle of dish detergent.
Beck (and others),
I'd love to know where you've found the holiday Mrs. Meyers's products. I've tried Target, Ace Hardware, my local gourmet grocery, Whole Foods, all to no avail...
BAE909, I've found both Iowa Pine and Orange Clove at World Market--though they charge a bit more than Target.
You are so right! Thymes Frasier Fir is amazing - smells just like the woods. I, too, use it year round when I can get my hands on it. It reminds me of camping. :)
Method offered a limited edition Vanilla Chai hand soap a few months back and it turned out to be my most favorite smelling soap.
Unfortunately, since it's limited edition, they don't offer it in the big refill back, so I had to buy 6 of the individual hand soap bottles.
FYI: I spotted the Holiday line at Fresh&Easy here in the SFBay area.
