Hi, Grandpa! How to Create a Vinyl Photo Backsplash

HGTV

We alternately love this and are completely paralyzed by the thought of which ONE picture we'd pick to stare at while cooking every single day. A great sunset? Or a great-grandpa Sal? (That's what we imagine this guy being named, by the way.) Either way, it's a cool idea that's not too difficult to execute.

Backsplashes are a good way to add flair to your kitchen, whether you use colorful tiles or even mirrors. But you do want something that's easy to clean.

Vinyl is pretty easy to clean, which is why we like this idea. It's more than just putting up some wallpaper or a large-scale photograph. This backsplash is functional. You can wipe down Sal's face with a sponge, and that's key when you're making his famous meatball recipe.
