Hi, Kitchn readers!
This is just a check-in to make sure you're getting your fill of all the gorgeous winter citrus still bubbling up at the market. In the dark din of winter, with so little produce at its best, winter citrus is a sparkling oasis.
Earlier this year we shared a number of stunning winter citrus recipes from Elizabeth over at Brooklyn Supper; that collection is a good place to start. From breakfast to dinner and all the way to dessert, it will have you work your way through blood oranges, cara cara oranges, grapefruit, and lemon.
While you're at it, don't forget about the Meyer lemons. This cross between a lemon and a Mandarin has the same taste as lemon, minus the acidity. They're also incredibly floral. Use them in a vinaigrette, squeeze them over cooked chicken or fish, try them in place of lemon in curd or in lemon bars. Whatever you do, don't let the season pass you by without picking up a few from the market!
