Here's Everything You Should Be Feeling While Snacking on Holiday Nuts

'Tis the season for spiced nuts, roasted nuts, glazed nuts, nut-filled cookies, and nut bowls galore. Nuts are the good-for-you snacks that allow us to feel "simultaneously spoiled and virtuous," says Susan Dominus for Food & Wine. But Dominus then goes on to say she's found herself conflicted lately. Should we be feeling the same?

We've heard all about it by now — the California drought continues to cause agricultural hardship in the state, and every California almond we casually toss back has a gallon of water to thank for its existence. Should we lay off the nuts this holiday season? Dominus picks apart all our feelings and gives us something to talk about during cocktail hour.
