Q: Help! Every year I make my mom's secret family candy recipe for holiday gifts. It is always a huge hit and very simple. I went to my usual candy making store this weekend to buy the chocolate wafers and the shop is out of business. They are only place I have ever bought chocolate and it was delicious and melted perfectly. There are no other resources in my area of high quality candy chocolate (sorry, but the stuff at big box stores won't cut it). Do you know of any online resources?

Back in my days of having a cake pops side biz, I only ever bought my dipping chocolates from Chocoley.com. Their white, milk, and dark chocolates are amazing in flavor and definitely melt up better than the usual brands people grab. Their website is kinda messy, but the staff there is super nice and helpful.
Forgot to mention - they're based in ATL, so shipping to you in NC shouldn't take long.

Not sure if this is right for what you need, but I love Theo Chocolate, and looks like you can purchase online: https://www.theochocolate.com/store/
Also, Scharffen Berger, which you can find in Whole Foods stores nationwide.
No. no! Don't tell her until she gives us the secret to Mom's candy!

Chocosphere.com for a whole bunch of different brands of high quality chocolate, including professional wafers and other forms besides just blocks.
have you tried health food stores? Sometimes they carry some very nice chocolate in bulk, especially if you want organic/fair trade.
Also a fan of King Arthur Flour.
Hello! New to this site.. this is probably way off topic, but I have made the best cut out sugar cookies and LOVE it!! Is there another one for chocolate surgar cookies? please direct me if you can... thanks for any help.
I'm not sure what you're using it for, but I'm a HUGE fan of Trader Joe's Pound Plus bars for tempering.
You can buy huge blocks of really nice chocolate at Whole Foods too

Love this company, my family cannot do chocolate that has crossed paths with peanuts. They do process almonds but keep it separate enough that my kids can eat anything that is not labeled "may contain"
