Q: I have a large amount of tupelo honey and it is in an unwieldy jar for pouring purposes. However, since I didn't (pre-Greek yogurt obsession) use honey very often, this wasn't a problem.
The large jar though is now most vexing and I have been on the hunt for an attractive honey pot. I can find highly practical but plain looking plastic ones, and then there's le Creuset's yellow rendition. Not much else out there from what I can tell. Ideas?

Editor: Laura, honey is one of the most unwieldy ingredients in the kitchen, and honestly, we love to keep it in plastic squeeze bottles. It's the most convenient. This question reminds us, too, of this one:

Readers, do you have any advice? What's the best storage container you've found for honey?

I'm not sure if it qualifies as good looking, but this is a fairly traditional version with an easy pour spout.
we keep our honey in one of those standard plastic squeeze bottles like these: http://www.webstaurantstore.com/12-oz-clear-squeeze-bottle-6-pack/8082112D.html?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=cse&utm_campaign=GoogleShopping&gclid=CODr1r3B-6cCFcTd4AodRjebsg
It works great!
I have the Le Creuset honey pot in white (found it on Amazon, I believe) and it works well for my purposes.
Whatever you do, just consider whether you might have problems with insects. A traditional honey pot looks cute, but would attract sooo many ants at our place. A squeeze bottle works best for us.
This silver bee is my favorite:

I'm also in love with this Peter Rabbit one:

I absolutely love my adorable Le Creuset Honey Pot. It's perfectly sized for a jar of honey and the dipper is drip-less if you roll it as you bring the honey out of the jar. Love, Love, Love!
I've been DROOLING over this handmade glass beauty on etsy (by biodidactic) for weeks now:

I have to agree with the squeeze bottle...it keeps it airtight while giving you max dispensing abilities. Nearly every store that sells bulk honey has both boring old cylinder bottle AND honey bears...my vex with pots is their tendency to crystallize...still though, something stylish is always great...I do love the vintage appeal of a good ole bear...
I bought this traditional, handmade honey pot from a wonderful artist on Etsy: http://momcast.blogspot.com/2010/04/few-pretty-things.html
Hi! I want to buy this one:

have you considered seeking out a local potter who make honey pots? It works well for us.
Dip a clean spoon into the jar the honey came in, and put the lid back on.
Am I being too practical? A honey pot would encourage insects and collect dust through the dipper opening, in my house anyway.
You can't squeeze honey from a plastic frog.
I love my honey pot! I got a one-of-a-kind from Etsy and recommend finding one there.
The Le Creuset one pictured is the prettiest, most practical one I've come across-- and on Amazon, at least, not too expensive.
