Take a look at this bakeware. Looks pretty normal, pretty straightforward, yes? Well, it's actually mini bakeware, designed for your toaster oven. And that's a good idea right now, given this ridiculous heat throughout much of the country. Why heat up your oven when you can make muffins in your toaster oven?
We had never seen toaster oven bakeware until we spotted this set at Crate & Barrel. (We're pretty sure that it's made by Chicago Metallic, as it looks just like this branded set.) We love the smaller size of the muffin pan, and the very classy cake pan.
Your toaster oven is such a great tool when it's hot outside like this. You can bake a little cake, or a batch of muffins or cookies, without overheating the kitchen. And if you rely on your toaster oven a lot, then some good-quality toaster oven-sized bakeware might be a worthwhile investment.
Here are a few more options for toaster oven bakeware; you can find it on Amazon as well as at Crate & Barrel.

Straw Mat from The ...

Haha, I just bought these about 2 hours ago. Funny. I've already unwrapped the set and they are super heavy and seem very nice. I can't wait to make a half pan of brownies tonight!
I love this and I don't even have a toaster oven!!
I have some toaster cookware from B3 (I see they have a similar set for $14.95 (http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=12299591). Not only are they great for toaster baking, but I use them in my regular oven to prepare different dishes at the same time.
I heart my toaster oven; thanks for the post!
Awesome! I rely on my toaster oven and regularly bake things in it.. including cakes and custards in ramekins and small glass dishes from Ikea. These sets are fantastic!
Great idea! And using the slow cooker helps keep me out of a steamy kitchen, too.
I have the exact set pictured - works perfectly for so many things!
i've been using my toaster oven (i'm not sure if my oven even works). Mine accomodates a 9x9 pan quite well, but I could get some other things for it as well.... Does anyone make these in silacone?
I use my toaster oven all the time to bake a single serving of fish or chicken & bake 4 or 5 cookies for DH & myself. If I bake a whole pan of cookies, they'll be gone in a heartbeat so I bake what we can eat plus they're always ooey gooey HOT out of the "oven". :)
it's about time someone came up with these. maybe if i could have found these a year ago i wouldn't have given away my toaster oven.
I have the set shown in the first photo, and the rectangular baking pan has seams in the corners that NEVER get clean, and have started to rust. The bottom set looks like a much better choice!
