Q: I sometimes forget to pack or bring my lunch, or I come to work straight from my boyfriend's grocery-sparse apartment. What are some lunch items I can keep at my desk that feel reasonably healthy and not too depressing? Product suggestions, recipe ideas, or other solutions are all welcome.
I want to avoid a Sad Desk Lunch of whatever's on sale at the CVS in my office building (recently a new low of Wheat Thins, individually wrapped cheese slices, and gummy peach candy). Help please.

Editor: Anna, back when I had a desk job, I always kept a couple cans of good-quality soup on hand for emergency lunches. (That's assuming you have access to a microwave.)
