Ah, Campari. Campari brings herbal excellence to grapefruit sorbet and slides into some soda water for an inspired aperitivo.
Yet, we must admit, we forget Campari's excellence and do not serve it often enough. In our little liquor cabinet, we lose the Campari behind the vodka and gin and the wine we're saving for special occasions. Take our survey then read about this pop-up Campari store we just saw...
Today, we were wandering around after lunch and saw that the Campari Gallery is popping up a block from our offices here in Soho. This huge banner should remind us to get the Campari cocktails going!
We love the Americano and the Negroni. How about you? Have you served up Campari lately?
If you weren't online on Monday, you might have missed our wall-to-wall cocktail coverage. Take a look, if you haven't seen it yet, and let us know what's shaking in your cocktail shaker.

ideally, drink at sunset. and never after dark. that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
My favorite Campari cocktail is what I've dubbed "The Rainwater"--named after my boss who introduced me to it. It's Campari, prosecco, grapefruit juice and a bit of lime. Here's the recipe: http://erinskitchen.blogspot.com/2007/04/learning-to-like-campari.html
We have a bottle of campari sitting around, but I just haven't developed the taste for it.
Erin, your "learning to like campari" post might finally get that bottle used up!
Oh, no. The first time I ever got drunk was on a New Year's Eve, from the dregs of holiday party bottles in my parent's liquor cabinet: peppermint schnapps (used in some kinda of 'candy cane' concoction) and Campari, which was mixed with orange juice and served at breakfast (presumably to quell the peppermint schnapps hangover from the night before). Yeah, my 'rents and their friends were partiers.
Sorry, but it's sadly true that I can't even smell Campari without remembering what it tasted like over a backdrop of peppermint schnapps, puked up over the balcony railing and onto the hood of my mother's car on New Year's Eve.
I like campari and their ads. I want that devil suit for Halloween, preshaped.
I love Campari, but I pretty much don't touch alcohol anymore, sadly.
Campari is awesome! When I first started drinking it I tried to hide the bitterness with juices and mixers.. bad idea. Over time the stuff started to be less and less bitter. Ah, so refreshing during the summer when it's on the rocks with fresh squeezed lime and soda.
