What's in your lunchbox today? A sandwich, an apple and, what's that? Something written on your paper towel? Aww. We might have been a little embarrassed by lunch notes as a kid, but now we think anyone who receives one should count themselves doubly lucky. Because not only did someone make your lunch for you, they cared enough to send a little extra love your way. Feeling all warm and fuzzy yet?
These lunch notes were found around Flickr and they prove that the practice isn't just for kids. Adults love lunch notes too. Especially when they come with a little sweet treat.

I had to go call my mom as soon as I saw this!
I miss her little notes and doodles so bad right now.
Oy, yesterday, reminiscing about meatloaf sandwiches. Today, lunchbox notes.
You are making us (and by us I mean ME!) VERY sentimental!!
My mom had everyone in my family (uncles, grandparents, cousins.. the whole bunch) write encouraging notes on cards that she would tuck in with my lunches. I don't remember a single repeat! As a military brat that moved around a lot, those notes always meant a lot. Time to go call my mom!
my mom would write haikus on my bananas. <3 i miss her.
i have put a lunch note in my daughter's lunch every day since first grade...she's in fifth grade now. i thought she might want me to stop once she got older but she still loves the notes. i love the banana haiku idea! mine are almost all just paper. my husband suggested i start a blog for the notes. so i did: lunchnotes.wordpress. i should take a picture of all of the notes in a big pile!
I always write love notes for my husband's lunches if he ever asks me to pack them for him. :) He saves all of them hahaha :)
I write notes for my fiance's lunches. I love the fact that he loves them...and saves them.
My mom used to write notes on my napkins. All the way through high school. I told her I was able to make my own lunch, but her response was that her only "one-on-one" time with me in the morning was when she made my lunch while I ate my breakfast. Now that time is some of my favorite memories.
I wish I had a picture or two of some of the notes she used to sneak into my lunch bag ("Love, Momma").
