Halloween is almost here and we haven't said a thing about it. It crept up on us, and now we want to know what you are planning. Are you trick-or-treating? Eating homemade candy? Throwing a creepy dinner party for friends? Or do you prefer to ignore the witches and ghouls and focus on harvest instead? Any big food plans?

The cider-lover in me says harvest, but the Peanut Butter Cup lover in me screams candy.
When I was in graduate school we had a very memorable Halloween party where the food was based on the four (bodily) humours.
For black bile we served black russians, for yellow bile we served margaritas, for phlegm we served cheese fondue, and for blood we served sangria. It was a very fun party.
Needless to say, I voted for "Ghoulish."
Why can't I pick two? Seasonly, it's harvesty, but on actual Halloween, I'm gobbling candy. Who says grownups can't go trick or treating? As long as we're in costume, people still give us candy.
One Halloween when I wanted to make Bloody Maries without having tomato juice I used tomato paste and invented "the Bloodclot Mary."
