Bacsac Bacsquare 04...

Perfect timing for this post. Actually about a week ago would have been better! I'm in the midst of painting my kitchen and plan to finish this weekend. I relied heavily on AT's kitchen tours to gauge which colors worked with wood cabinets etc. The orange kitchen above is one that I really loved but in the end I decided the orange would just fight the gold in my oak cabinets too much. I did end up buying similar commercial wire shelves for storage although mine will be wall mounted.
I found this inspiration on Flicker and went for a similar color although less green and more aqua. http://www.flickr.com/photos/lyrabellacqua/3339957614/ It is one of the most stunning colorful kitchens I've seen.
I call the color I chose iceberg blue although the official name is seafoam pearl by Behr. It seems to almost radiate a blue/green hue. I plan to send pics to The Kitchn once it is finished!
Wow! Good for you 'dmstudio' can't wait to see it.
The inspiration you found is truly stunning!
I am the most colorful person that I know... but I have a very adult kitchen and can not settle on a color. I think that I am actually scared to paint it... but it really needs a pick up and doesnt match anything in my house. I dont know what to do. I am low on the money and don't want to buy a color and hate it. How do I know what will work?
I'm growing increasingly besotted with light-blue everything. That said, love the gray kitchen.
