You know what I've really been craving this fall? Hot and sweet chai lattes. But laden with fat, sugar, and caffeine, I'm trying to limit them. As an alternative way to bring the flavor into a daily routine, I've started incorporating chai spices into the granola I eat each morning.
I started last weekend by adding cardamom, ginger, and cloves to a basic recipe. But it turns out there are lots of chai granola recipes out there - here are a few I want to try out over the season (they're pictured in consecutive order up top):
- Chai Spice Granola by Finding Radiance - this one incorporates apple juice for sweetness.
- Chai Spice Granola with Dried Apple and Almonds from Simple Bites, adapted from Cheryl Arkison's recipe from the Blog Aid: Recipes For Haiti cookbook
- Ginger Chai Granola from Chai & Yoga - This one has a kick of candied ginger
- Blueberry Coconut Cardamom Granola from Conscious Crumbs

yum!
everything tastes better with cardamom. the end.
But laden with fat, sugar, and caffeine, I'm trying to limit them.
--> grammar police here, but did you really mean that YOU're laden with fat, sugar and caffeine? That would be a good reason to limit chai lattes though :)
