Interesting idea for a post. I really like:
In a world where so many are hungry,
may we eat this food with humble hearts;
in a world where so many are lonely,
May we share this friendship with joyful hearts.

Growing up, the following become standard before dinner for my family. Nice and short!

Except now my kids and my sister take turns and each say one word in sequence until it's done. Very reverent, I know. Then sometimes my sister redeems it and makes everyone hold hands.
