Sally Clarke was once a disciple of Alice Waters at Chez Panisse and her Notting Hill café, food shop, deli and restaurant offers the same sort of upscale simplicity...The restaurant has white tablecloths and a no-choice daily changing seasonal menu. The little shop next door has house-made baked goods, chocolates, jams, an excellent selection of British and Irish cheeses plus prepared foods including an unconventional quiche "Lorraine" with pancetta that nevertheless gives the classic version a run for its money. Stop here to put together a gourmet picnic or to pick up some edible souvenirs.
