Got Butter? Norway's Bizarre Butter Shortage

Have you heard that the entire country of Norway is experiencing a major shortage of butter? As in standard, run-of-the-mill butter. If you think that's strange, you won't believe the reason behind this bizarre issue.

So what's behind the Norwegian butter shortage? A fad diet. Yes, the shortage is due to Norwegians eating all of their butter supply. Blame another low carb, high fat diet. And it didn't help that this fad diet coincided with a poor year for weather and milk production in the country. Keep away from those fad diets, folks! Especially delicious-sounding ones that involve eating lots of butter.
