"We’ve had friends gasp when they walk into our kitchen!" says Emily about her Seattle kitchen, recently featured on Apartment Therapy. "It’s a small kitchen, but everyone says it looks like it came out of a magazine" — and we agree! The show-stopping red cabinets are original to the house, and have so much personality. See the rest of the kitchen below:
"It is definitely the most unique room in our home," Emily says. But she gives all the credit to the previous owners. "We actually didn’t even have to do any remodeling ourselves (besides installing the granite counters); the previous home owners did an impeccable job with the design, adding the fabulous rotating ceiling fan!"
The bright green door is another favorite feature: "[It] opens up to our large patio and backyard. That door is almost never closed in the summer, so I’m still able to feels the rays of sunshine and hear my kids playing outside in the yard from inside. Or I can watch the kids playing on the slide and on our swing-set through the double 6 ft tall windows in the kitchen, overlooking the side of the house."
And how cute is this little play kitchen? The whole space is a real gem. Make sure to check out the full tour below for more photos.
