I was vegetarian for 16 years. Now I am in my mid 30s and have no idea how to cook simple proteins such as fish, or meat, or even chicken. I don't know how to clean or buy meat, and I have no idea where to begin. Can you suggest a few recipes that I can try that are descriptive enough for a "reformed vegetarian" such as myself? I don't eat a lot of meat, but I would like to know how to cook a few simple, healthy basics.
