Q: Somehow due to this year's spring weather I have been coming across copious amounts of violets.
I was wondering if you could recommend any DIY créme de violette recipes?

Editor: Violette, this depends on where you live. Unlike French violets, American violets are unfortunately odorless and therefore useless for edible purposes. (They make lovely albeit short-lived nosegays, though.) You can see a little more about this in this post:
